Madagascar, Big Island in the Indian Ocean, separated from the main land of Africa and has developped alone for millions of years, has a lot of different types of biodiversity from East to West, North to South. Nowadays, there are more than 122 permanent protected areas in the Country. Of these sites, 41 are managed by the National Parks, 49 by different managers, and the rest are still more to discover. Most of them are accessible to tourists.
